Acknowledgements
Asia Mann acknowledges the traditional people of the lands in which she grows her herbs, teaches and resides. She brings special reverence to the Lekwungen, Songhess, Esquimalt and WSÁNEĆ peoples of the territory that is now called Vancouver Island as well as the indigenous peoples of the land that is now called Costa Rica; the Bribri, Cabécar, Boruca, Huetar, Maleku, Ngäbe, and the Chorotega.
Sustainability
Asia Mann Wellness only engages in sustainable practices and packaging. All our packaging is zero waste, printed with non-toxic ink and biodegradable and/or reusable. Majority of our products are sourced directly from our own gardens and local growers and/or communities. We prioritize the local indigenous economy and support traditional communities in our area. We will only engage in ethically wild harvested practices when using herbs are not grown ourselves and only used sustainably produced endangered herbs.
Equitable Access & Give back
Since health care access and social justice are fundamentally linked, educational opportunities and services are designed in a manner that provides access for low income, marginalized and young adults at a reduced or no cost. Our community projects provide time for people to come learn about herbal medicine, permaculture and natural wellness while implementing food and herbal medicine gardens into the local community to ensure food/medicine security at no cost. We also actively fund these community projects with part of our profits which can be up to 1/2 on some select products/services.
